Software Engineering:

• User Interface and User Experience Design & Development: Creating products that are aesthetic, fast, interactive, user-friendly, accessible, and reliable for a responsive, meaningful, and relevant user experience on all major browsers and devices. • Graphic Design, Photography, Desktop Publishing, & Art Direction: Advanced design, branding, development, and art direction for graphics, photography, video, multimedia, publications, websites, applications, marketing materials, communications, presentations, data visualizations, training materials, promotional products, and various other types of media or assets.

Leadership:

• Release Management: Managing all aspects of the release process including release planning, content selection, the build process, the quality assurance testing, the deployment workflow and statuses, the approval process, and the communications with stakeholders. Duties also included modernizing and streamlining the existing release process and producing the technical documentation outlining the updated workflow.
• Engineering Management: Collaborating with other teams, managers, stakeholders, and contractors. Defining and improving the SDLC and ensuring that the workflow and standards are followed and the roadmap goals are achieved. Developing technical specifications, performing resource planning for major initiatives, and prioritizing, delegating, and supervising engineers’ activities and deliverables. Fostering an environment of positivity and mutual respect, and a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, motivating and engaging engineers to ensure that their personal and professional needs are met, managing, supporting, and evaluating engineers’ performance, and participating in the hiring and firing process.
• Project Management: Project planning and requirements, research, estimation, information architecture development, project tracking, risk assessment, acceptance criteria creation, quality control, problem solving and troubleshooting, technical documentation, business communications, presentations, training materials, and roadmaps, and project team leadership, guidance, and training.

Event Coordination:

• Employee Engagement: Leading a cross-department team of individuals in planning and hosting various inclusive activities and events for employees to promote a positive company culture, raise morale, foster teamwork, reduce turnover, and provide community outreach in both a local office environment and for an international distributed workforce.
• Event Management: Event planning and support, research to find speakers, locations, and entertainment, budget estimation and purchasing, preparing and monitoring scheduling, audiovisual coordination, decoration and set design, menu planning, and production of event materials such as emails, websites, social media campaigns, invitations, badges, presentations, signage, handouts, agendas, promotional materials, gifts, clothing, and more. These duties were performed for public, private, and semi-private corporate events for small and large audiences, as well as for non-corporate private events.

Communication, Documentation, & Training:

• Internal Documentation: Creating and documenting product specifications, project requirements, technical designs, and Engineering and UI/UX standards, processes, and procedures. Developing a design system and component library with UI/UX requirements, usage guidelines, and examples. Organizing and expanding on existing corporate documentation and training coworkers on the information architecture design and documentation procedures. Creating internal wiki articles to train support teams on new features.
• External Communication: Crafting corporate and customer communications, language for marketing materials, content for websites and applications, and knowledge base and wiki articles for customer onboarding and support.
• Training: Teaching classes and workshops on software development and content management, leading one-on-one training sessions on website maintenance, photography post-production, and video production, and cross-training coworkers and team members on graphic design, UI/UX design and development, and techniques for troubleshooting, problem solving, and performing quality assurance testing. Creation of training manuals, classroom materials and conference presentations.

Research & Testing:

• UI/UX Research & Testing: Performing extensive UI/UX evaluations of product functionality, reviewing and analyzing application analytics and customer feedback, preparing competitive analyses of both direct competitors and top SaaS applications, researching current technologies, practices, and design patterns, and conducting user testing using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Technical Research: Research, evaluation, proof-of-concept implementation, and comparison of libraries, frameworks, components, and services against required or desired metrics for the purpose of making a qualified recommendation for specific technologies to leverage in software applications.
• Quality Assurance Testing: Quality assurance testing and troubleshooting for websites and applications, including the creation of test cases, acceptance criteria, and guidelines for testing. Includes leading the QA process for releases, managing the testing assignments and tracking the progress and thoroughness of testing.
